The American Red Cross Martin County Chapter

 When a disaster strikes, no matter how large or small, the American Red Cross is there to give help. For seven years, Yates & Associates has been proud to call the American Red Cross our client.

 The American Red Cross Martin County Chapter has provided unique challenges to Yates & Associates. Not the least of which has been three significant hurricanes that took full aim at our region. During the run up to Hurricanes Frances, Jeanne, and Wilma, Yates & Associates provided timely updates to the public and distributed Media Releases to media throughout the region. The Media Releases were filled with information regarding Red Cross Hurricane Shelters, evacuation routes, and tips on supplies and materials to have on hand when a hurricane strikes.

 Yates & Associates provided major assistance to the Red Cross, in cooperation with the Hometown News, in producing the Officials Red Cross Hurricane Guide 2007. This informative tabloid was printed free of charge by Hometown News. And, it was distributed to more than 500,000 households in a 17 county region.

 With its constant mission of providing help those needing help in an emergency, the American Red Cross is also constantly in need of local dollars. The Red Cross receives no federal, state, or local tax dollars for its operations. It is funded entirely by local donations. To assist the Red Cross in having adequate funds on hand to meet any emergency, Yates & Associates has assisted in fundraising. We have managed and directed the Heroes for the American Red Cross campaign for the last two years.
